Kristina holds a PhD in Hydrology with a focus on river water quality from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy, and Geography – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (2011-2014). She also earned a Master’s degree in Geography, specializing in Hydrology and Climatology (2002-2004), and another Master’s degree in European Public Administration from the University of Sofia – St. “Kl. Ohridski”, Bulgaria (2005-2007). Kristina began her academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and teaching of geography from the same university (1998-2001). 🌟

Kristina currently serves as a geographer at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy, and Geography – Hydrology and Water Management Research Center, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, a position she has held since March 2022. Prior to this role, she worked in various capacities at the same institute, including as a geographer in the Department of Geography from 2015 to 2022, and as an assistant in the HR Department from 2010 to 2011.
